The team is dedicated to going the extra mile to provide the support for families with children who are patients at Vermont Children's Hospital. For more information or to join the team, Jack is 7 years and he has Neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. To find out more about Jack and read his story, 2 years ago, I planned to make a visit to the pediatric floor of the hospital where my dog Jake and I volunteered. This time, though, I didn’t plan to visit the kids - fortunately Jake had other ideas. The Candy Shack idea came from a friendship that formed between Hannah Owens and Dustin Cobb, a 10 year old boy with neuroblastoma from Atlanta, Georgia.
